Description

Big quantity and high quality are the hallmarks of this splendid assortment of vintage packing labels. A conservative estimate of (1,800+) unused labels generally remain in factory fresh condition and though a small number are affected by very minor corner dings, the group as a whole presents as bright, clean, glossy and totally suited for display, in average (NM-MT) condition. Intended for crate and box branding of fruits, vegetables, cigars and the occasional spirit or wine, this fantastic array is designed with captivating artwork and graphics created for the purpose of grabbing attention. Highlights are (200+) assorted cigar box types, (40+) "Safe Hit Texas Vegetables" with a baseball batting scene and a good number of assorted Black Americana types featuring racially insensitive graphics that were common long ago, but are deemed unacceptable by today's standards. Some of the many other fascinating subjects seen throughout, are planes, trains, automobiles, cowboys, Native Americans, birds, dogs, presidents, pin-up girls and too much more to mention here. As expected, nearly all included types are noted in multiples, however there are still hundreds of different designs present.
