Testudo the turtle looks to be in high spirits in his incarnation as this 1974 Ezra Brooks University of Maryland Terrapins whiskey decanter. The Maryland sports teams mascot flashes a wry smile as he leans on a large red letter "M" in the design of this vintage liquor bottle. This gleaming container shows full paint and a glassy finish, in reporting as (NM+) in condition. The full array of original labels are present and accounted for, including the severed Revenue stamp on the back of the head and body, a State of Maryland tax stamp, a "Genuine Heritage China" foil label from the ceramic decanter's manufacturer and a "101 Months Old" foil label from the spirit maker Ezra Brooks. The cork stopper attached to the underside of the head segment has been reduced to a nub, however enough of the cork material extends into the body segment opening to keep the head properly positioned.
