The Cleveland Browns started out with a big bang, taking all four league championships during the brief 1946-1949 existence of their organization of origin, the AAFC. The Browns went on to even loftier heights after joining the NFL in 1950, winning three more championships during the team's first six years in top pro football league. The major mojo the franchise enjoyed during its first decade of play is attributed to legendary coach and team namesake Paul Brown, but maybe some of that good ju-ju came from their magical mascot, symbolized by the offered 1950s Gibbs-Conner Cleveland Browns football bank. This porcelain icon features the Browns' "Brownie" mascot, who is obviously smiling big thanks to his team's great success. This shelf-sized wonder looks as though it drank from the fountain of youth given its senior citizen age of sixty-plus years, as it truly presents as a marvel of preservation. Scant flecks of wear and some very minor crazing are noted, but all in all this ancient bank remains in (NM) condition with radiant luster and magnetic charm.
