511 home runs. 2,876 hits. Overshadowed by New York contemporaries in Ruth and Gehrig, few players can match the career accolades of (Master Melvin) Ott (d.1958). The unorthodox slugger has endorsed this timeless 1933 Goudey Baseball #127 gum card. Ott inscribed the lower portion in pencil with the autograph presenting a strong ("7") in both strength and clarity. The crease-free front presents in (VG-EX) condition with a faint pencil mark placed on the upper right corner of the reverse. Few such examples exist and this particular specimen arrives with a full photo LOA from JSA.
