Warranting national attention after scoring five goals in a single game during his debut professional season with Cruzeiro, 17-year-old striker Ronaldo went on to international fame as “O Fenomeno” (The Phenomenon). The widely acclaimed legend wore this Brazilian National Team jersey in 1999. It was subsequently autographed by (14) Brazilian players. The yellow micromesh short-sleeve pullover garment features “9” displayed on the front and back in green-on-blue applique. A “CBF” team logo patch adorns the left breast, while green trim lines the shoulders. Green-and-yellow striped stretch ribbed knit lines the collar and sleeve endings. Within the collar, an applique “NIKE” label has a handwritten notation of “MM.” On the front of the jersey, black marker autographs average (“7-8”) potency and include: Araujo, Antonio Carlos, Cafu, Emerson, Flavio Conceicao, Marcos Assuncao, Narciso, Rivaldo, Rogerio, Serginho, Vampeta and (3) unidentified. The jersey shows light wear and comes with an LOA from the Brazilian National Team Technical Coordinator (attesting to match use and authenticity of autographs).
