As one of the world’s largest sporting apparel institutions teamed with one of the most recognized clubs, famed striker Romario wore this Brazilian National Team jersey in 1997. Appealing in it’s tough-to-find status as Brazil’s first-ever Nike jersey, this keepsake has added value in that it is autographed by (19) members of the 1997 Brazilian squad. The yellow micromesh short-sleeve pullover garment features “11” sewn to the front and back in green satin twill, while the left and right breasts are respectively decorated with a “CBF” logo badge and an embroidered Nike “Swoosh” logo. Within the 3-1/4” green-and-yellow stretch ribbed knit collar, a “Nike” label is accompanied by a size “M” flap tag. Green trim lines the shoulders and the sleeve endings features green-and-yellow striped stretch ribbed knit. Following minimal wear by Romario, the jersey was signed on the front in black marker (average “8” strength) by: Cafu, Cesar Sampaio, Denilson, Dida, Goncalves, Juninho, Junior, Leonardo, Marcos, Ronaldo, Rogerio, Romario, Zagallo, Ze Maria, Ze Roberto and (4) unidentified. Accompanying is an LOA from the Brazilian National Team Technical Coordinator (attesting to match use and authenticity of autographs).
