Formerly the world’s highest-paid footballer, midfielder Paulo Roberto Falcao wore this Brazilian National Team jersey during his 1986 swan song. As Brazil engaged in a Group D tilt against Spain on June 1, 1986 at Guadalajara’s Jalisco Stadium, Falcao wore this yellow durene pullover garment. The coveted World Cup apparel item features a “Topper” manufacturer’s logo on the right breast in green and red applique, while Brazil’s “CBF” logo crest is applied to the left breast in blue applique. Falcao’s number “5” appears on the back in green applique. Green stretch ribbed cotton lines the sleeve endings and V-neck. Within the 3-3/8”-wide green satin-like collar, a “Topper” tag is accompanied by a flap tag denoting “10.” Moderate wear is evident with minor fabric pilling. Accompanying is an LOA from the item’s original recipient.
