Few pieces of American artwork are as recognizable as Norman Rockwell’s Triple Self-Portrait. The offered display captures this classic sight, as well as a pair of other Rockwell collectibles. It should be noted that the display has been neatly framed and matted (limited perimeter wear/scratching) to a total size of 28x21. As stated earlier, the display features a lovely Abrams lithograph of Rockwell’s Triple Self-Portrait with a visible image of 11x14. To the right will be two unique pieces, each signed by the legendary illustrator. First is a typed-signed letter from Rockwell (d.1978) to fellow artist George Wright. The letter is dated to March 12, 1971 and reads Dear Mr. Wright, I am pleased indeed to send you the enclosed bookplate. Best Wishes to you. Sincerely Yours with a signature grading (“7-8”). Beneath the TLS is a Rockwell stationary featuring a napping youngster alongside his dog, once again, signed and inscribed to George Wright, Sincerely, Norman Rockwell with a signature grading (“8-9”). While each individual piece exudes brilliance, the trio as a whole makes for a simply amazing display and conversation piece. Full photo LOA from JSA.
