No doubt dismayed that his "beat" team was "beaten" in the 1935 Fall Classic, Chicago staple and celebrated photographer George Burke remained professional and captured this image of the World Champion Detroit Tigers. Measuring 6x4", the thick-stock item showcases a sepia-toned team photo of the victorious Bengals, whose three-tier arrangement includes Mickey Cochrane, Chas Gehringer, Goose Goslin and Hank Greenberg. Burke's studio stamping is on the reverse of this period print and rare survivor.
