Famous for his raunchy nightclub routines and explicit records, comedian Redd Foxx gained his greatest notoriety by playing salvage junk dealer Fred G. Sanford on the hit TV series "Sanford and Son". Foxx knocked it out of the park with his hilarious portrayal of the bigoted and cantankerous Watts based junkman, scoring high ratings throughout the show's six-year run on NBC from 1972-1977. Foxx came up big again when he signed and personalized the offered ONL/Feeney baseball (EX-MT) on the east panel in big and bold fashion, with pronounced ("9") potency. One of the great running gags on the Sanford and Son series was Fred pretending to have a heart attack, while clutching his chest and calling out to his deceased wife "It's the big one, I'm coming to join ya Elizabeth". Ironically Foxx suffered a fatal heart attack while rehearsing for the show "The Royal Family" in 1991, with co-workers thinking he was pulling his celebrated gag. Don't let this big one from the world of entertainment pass you by. JSA Basic Cert.
