Teaming with patriotism and enthusiasm still boiling over from the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship, players, spectators and organizers packed New York’s Madison Square Garden for a hoops charity exhibition just two nights after the title game. This program was issued at the famed Midtown Manhattan venue with all ticket, program and concession proceeds going to the American Red Cross in support of the war effort. The 12-page guide features scorecard/roster pages at the center, which were marked on site to document victories by Georgetown (over Toledo) and newly crowned NCAA champion Wyoming (over St. John’s). A decidedly scarce survivor, this example presents (VG-EX) with a vertical compacting crease and wear about the spine area. All covers and pages are completely intact.
