As World War II waged on, America’s sporting events played on, as well, undeterred by the global unrest with only travel restrictions hindering the much needed diversion. This program was issued at New York’s Madison Square Garden for the 1945 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. With crease-free covers and crisp pages intact throughout, this well-maintained and rare survivor presents minimally (EX) with remnants from a single adhesive strip in the upper right corner of the front cover. The center/roster pages were marked on site in graphite pencil to document Oklahoma A&M’s (now Oklahoma State) 49-45 triumph over New York University.
