The ace of the Mets pitching staff following the club’s improbable 1986 World Series victory, David Cone wore and autographed these shoes during the latter portion (1991-1992) of his first tour of duty in Flushing. The blue leather “Mizuno” accessories features six metal cleats affixed to the bottom of each and Cone’s number “17” inscribed on the underside of each tongue. On the toe portion of each, Cone has signed in silver-colored marker (both “8-9” strength) and inscribed “17 – Game Used." The items show solid game use with scuff marks throughout and dirt caked about the crevices. Accompanying are (2) individual full photo LOAs from JSA, which are ideal for individual “resale” value!
