In a turn-about on the superhero genre, DC Comics introduced the "Suicide Squad" team of super-villains in the #25 issue of "The Brave and the Bold". Dated 8-9/59, this important Silver Age key issue related the origin of this team of super-baddies, who were recruited from incarceration as an expendable, but powerful force teamed-up to combat even greater threats to humanity than themselves. Offered here is a fantastic copy of The Brave and the Bold #25, which is graded (8.5) by leading certification service CGC.

This grade is good for a CGC Census rank of "1/4", with just 2 higher from a Universal Grade population total of 202 examples. Grading label notations include "Off-White Pages, Origin & 1st appearance of Suicide Squad (Col. Rick Flag, Jess Bright, Dr, Hugh Evans & Karin Grace). Revised recently in the blockbuster movie "Suicide Squad" with Will Smith as "Deadshot" and the peerless Margot Robbie as "Harley Quinn", this series has enjoyed explosive growth in its fan base and the status as one of the top graded examples makes this "one owner" comic a must for advanced collectors.

This new to the market comic comes from the spectacular Maryland collection, which has been lovingly stored by the original owner for more than half of a century.
