Aptly dubbed "The Miracle Braves," the 1914 Boston Senior Circuit installment found itself in the cellar as late as July 19. The Braves closed the season with a torrid 68-19 run. But the resiliency didn't stop there! No, sir! This 1914 World Series program provides ample evidence of the Braves' abilities and "never-say-die" stance. Issued at Fenway Park on October 12, the 16-page guide features scoring grids with pre-printed lineups. The grids are marked in graphite pencil to document a 5-4 Braves triumph in which they erased a 4-2 10th-inning deficit and went on to win it in the 12th. As for the venue, the Braves had abandoned their South End Grounds venue in August of 1914 and rented Fenway Park as they awaited construction of Braves Field. With covers/pages completely intact, the historic program presents nicely and is affected by age-induced oxidation and a minor repair to the front cover's upper right corner.
