A testament to the consistent excellence of the St. Louis Cardinals organization is found in the team's 19 World Series appearances and 11 championships, which is the top mark among NL teams and second only to the mighty New York Yankees. "Redbird" rooters soar with this handsome collection of (6) 1967-2011 World Series full tickets and ticket stubs, all from games at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. These nicely preserved big game souvenirs take the field in very attractive condition overall, with:

10/6/67 Game 3 stub (EX-MT): Despite a valiant effort by Boston Red Sox pitcher Jim Lonborg, the Cardinals woke the Sox from their "Impossible Dream" in large part due to the remarkable performance of ace Bob Gibson. This game was won by a score of 5-2 with Cards hurler Nelson Briles hurling a complete game. Mike Shannon provided the game winning blow with a two-run homer in the 2nd inning, Reggie Smith hit a solo shot in the 7th and Cardinals superstars made important contributions, with Lou Brock 2/4, 2 runs and a triple; Roger Maris 2/4 with a run and an RBI; and Orlando Cepeda 1/4 with a double and an RBI.

10/3/68 Game 2 stub (EX): "The Year of the Pitcher" was also the year of the Tigers, as Detroit battled to a tough seven-game victory with Mickey Lolich playing the hero, though Gibson again did his part. This game was a Tigers 8-1 win behind Lolich, with Al Kaline 2/5; Norm Cash 3/5 with a HR; Willie Horton 2/3 with a HR; and Lolich helping himself big time in going 2/4 with a HR in a complete game win.

10/12/82 Game 1 full ticket (EX-MT+): This series ended in another seven-game triumph for the Cards, however they stumbled badly in this opening game, losing 10-0 to the Milwaukee Brewers, with Robin Yount going 4/6 and Paul Molitor 5/6.

10/23/85 Game 4 stub (VG+): The "Show Me Series" was another tough seven-game affair, this time with the Cardinals coming up short against in-state rivals the Kansas City Royals, who won their first ever WS. John Tudor pitched a complete game shutout for a 3-0 St. Louis win in this game, with Tito Landrum and Willie McGee providing the offensive fireworks with solo homers in the 2nd and 3rd innings respectively.

10/27/87 Game 4 stub (NM): Despite a 7-2 win in this game behind Bob Forsch, the "Redbirds" lost yet another hard fought seven-game series against the Minnesota Twins, who enjoyed the first franchise championship since 1924 when the team competed as the Washington Senators. Little known hitter Tom Lawless provided the big blow in this game with a 3-run blast in the 4th for the second and last HR of his career, Willie McGee chipped in a 2/4 effort for the Cards and Kirby Puckett was 1/4 for the Twins.

10/20/11 Game 2 full ticket (EX-MT+): This time around the Cardinals took down the Texas Rangers in seven games for their most recent WS triumph. Despite coming up short in this tight 2-1 loss to the pitcher Mike Adams and the Texas Rangers, who scored their runs on sacrifice flies by Josh Hamilton and Michael Young; Ian Kinsler went 2/3 and Adrian Beltre went 1/4.
