The phrase "who's who" originates from the British compendium that debuted in 1849 with biographies of UK notables. Major-league baseball entered the who's-who fray in 1933 under the stewardship of sportswriter Harold "Speed" Johnson, then skipped 1934 and returned from 1935 through 1952. All 19 volumes are offered here, beginning with the inaugural '33 tome in VG condition (interior front-cover spine split and moderate moisture wear in the lower right corner of reverse; photocopied dust jacket). The remainder are softback except for the hardbound 1951 edition, and their condition is VG to VG-EX (a few lesser). The 1935 third-edition example is VG-EX.
